The Diverge is Specialized’s first gravel bike. It’s a "ride anywhere over anything" kind of bike. The Diverge is fast enough to race, but also at home on light singletrack, bikepacking, adventuring, and riding the road. It debuted in 2014, evolving from the Roubaix with a bit more clearance, 35mm tires max. In 2021, the third generation presented an adjustable FutureShock 2.0. 47mm tire clearance, the bottom bracket was raised for people who want cushier 650b tires, and the geometry was lengthened, slacked, and built around shorter stems. Specialized also added a SWAT box in most of the carbon-fiber downtubes.

When you ride an S-Works bike, you always get the lightest and stiffest carbon. Some folks may opt to buy the frameset and build their own bike, but when purchasing a complete build, you can expect Dura-Ace or Red level componentry. As Specialized has refined the S-Works Diverge, weight has dropped, with the most recent model weighing under 1,000g.

Specialized Diverge Size Chart
All bikes are technically unisex, ranging from 48cm (fits 4’11” to 5’2”) to 60cm (fits 6’3” to 6’5”). Depending on the model variant, the Diverge's fit range is between 5'7" and 6'4".
